MALAYSIA'S ONLINE BUSINESS resources portal - Business.Com.My (www.business.com.my) ?is embarking on a marketing drive to register local companies and businesses to become its members.
Business.Com.My, an online business marketplace/trading community primarily serving small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to match buyers and sellers online, has been spending the past couple of months strengthening it's credibility and platform which include forming partnerships with reputable industry players like Visa, RosettaNet and IDC among others.

'I believe the Business.Com.My would be a vehicle in transforming Malaysian businesses into globally competitive world-class organization. It is our aim to be the de facto resources platform for doing businesses in Malaysia,' he adds.
According to Tan, there are many reasons why local companies should consider becoming Business.Com.My member.
'The portal will not only benefit local companies and businesses but also assist foreign investors doing business in Malaysia. It also provides a platform for business match-making.'
'Our portal is highly ranked in almost all major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. All rank us in the top 5 searches of key words like business, Malaysia and even directory. Tan says although Business.Com.My has yet to go on a big marketing campaign to get more members, the portal has already listed more that 700 local companies presently.
'We are also working closely with business associations to get their members to be part of Business.Com.My. To date, we have partnered with Small and Medium Enterprises Association (SAMENTA), Penang Foundry & Engineering Industries Association (PENFEIA) and Software Consortium of Penang (SCoPe) to establish an online directory for the respective association's websites, co-promote and offer our products and services to members,' he explains.
Tan claims that they engineered innovative e-Business framework to speed up the integration of companies' supply and demand chain within the portal.
"This is the place where customer, suppliers and distributors and collaborate seamlessly in the e-marketplace," he says.
He adds that portal members would have to pay a special annual subscription fee to enjoy its module services like e-Directory, e-Trade, e-Store, e-Jobs, e-Finance, e-News and e-Tools.
